ACE Test Chiller

At American Compressor Engineering we do not test short. We take the extra steps necessary to insure product quality and reliability by testing every single machine that leaves our factory/warehouse. Most compressor companies test short in their final product. Testing to atmosphere or running the compressors "open" to see if the compressor has oil pressure is not a satisfactory way to ensure product quality. American Compressor has it's own unique test chiller to accurately test each and every compressor for the following parameters:

  • AMPERAGES
  • PROPER VOLTAGE
  • OIL PRESSURE
  • SUCTION PRESSURE
  • DISCHARGE PRESSURE
  • MAX R.L.A.
  • ALL COMPRESSOR TEMPERATURES
  • VIBRATION
  • LEAKBACK
  • PUMPDOWN
  • COMPRESSOR EFFICIENCY

After the compressor has been tested in the unique test chiller, it is drawn back to a 400 micron vacuum and recharged with 200 psi of dry nitrogen to ensure no leaks. The charge is then dropped to a holding charge of 40 psi.
